The group got a permit that was then rescinded by the mayor. Then suddenly new signs & barriers went up.

50 cops showed up to arrest 12 people. Shameful. Protesters were holding hands & singing “Lean On Me.”

You may not agree with abortion rights (again, don’t have one then), but this is putting everyone’s First Amendment rights under attack.

This is not democracy. TN voters elected these folks. Republicans love to harp about how their ideas are “what the founders wanted”. Bullshit. This country was founded by people who believed in the freedom to disagree and protest. @BrentInMasto There’s a lot to keep up with and I’m sure an awful lot. An awful lot, pun intended. On the good side, turnout in Wisconsin has reportedly had a lot of people showing up reproductive rights. Hope it holds. Still time to vote!
