Given the announcement that Star Trek Discovery was ending soon, I tried watching Season 4 and it’s just awful. The acting is bad, the story was bad, the ship bursts into constant showers of sparks and flames with the smallest touch. It’s so dumb that I gave up during Episode 4. It’s just continued to slide downhill since the first two episodes. I’d even rather watch Enterprise.

@MikeRisley I don't think we are there yet. We are coming to it all very late. I am not a big trekkie, but parts of season one and season two (I think) were interesting. They seem to want it to be very edgy, which is odd sometimes.

I have enjoyed Strange New Worlds more than Discovery. Sometimes, I think it is just because the stories are more self-contained within each episode which gives a general sense of the old TNG structure.

@GreatBigTable We love SNW. I like the stories they tell better. I also feel like I know the bridge crew better after one season then I do the Disco crew after three. I hope it keeps going strong.
@MikeRisley I feel like the SNW episodes are mostly self-contained SciFi idea explorations. Lots of fun. Plus I do genuinely like the characters.
@GreatBigTable Good news for SNW, I don’t know if you’ve been reading the 4 issue Comic run, but I was super concerned that were going to resolve the cliffhanger from the end of Season 1 in the comic and pickup Season 2 like nothing happened. But thankfully they didn’t resolve it. Just progressed it with some more backstory.
@MikeRisley I haven't been reading g it, so that is good news.
