Today, on a social chat, the following picture came by (attached). "Haha, the vapidity of influencers, picking style over substance. She doesn't know Roman numerals! But then I learnt something!

While it's quite possible the woman in the picture just hung the clock upside down (or it's a photoshop, who knows), a co-worker blew my mind.

And the more I think about it, the more it makes sense to me. To mark the first hour of "the day" as "hour 7" is actually kind of strange.

Now, in the West we do read from left to right, so my new solution to timekeeping will take this concept, and give it a small twist.

The "12" should be pointing left, making the old "10 am", the new "1". That's really when my day starts!

Ok, maybe that's taking things too far, but just loving how a simple joke lead to my mind being blown!
