I hardly think this makes sense on almost any level.
This would be like saying the new reserve currency would be a "Continental" at the time of the Articles of Confederation.

Why would they stop the war. It forces Russia to sell them commodities at severe discount. They become a monopsonist of commodities while the US becomes a monopolist to Europe
