White people on the fedi are hypervigilant of other communities because they are deathly afraid of being treated like how they've treated others on most platforms.

But that's the irony of whiteness. They create the problems they are afraid of and blame us for not adjusting to their bigoted hysteria because they can't leave us alone.
There are brilliant people on the fedi from all walks of life. LGBTQ, Black, Brown, neurodiverse, and the incalculable amount of overlap of those few descriptors.

The single greatest obstacle to progress in the fedi is the idea that whiteness should dictate what the core experience in this space should look like.

Whiteness cannot entertain the infinite potential of this space because it is an ideology that even hates itself.

And we are in a challenging transition away from it.
