@Cetraria @lolennui It is at least possible in my kitchen to tell whether the tap water is running hot yet by sound and by looking at the running water. I assume, though, that this is mostly a thermo-mechanical (is that a word?) thing, that somehow the speed of the water changes with the temperature. But not sure how it works.
