@ianpatrick907 This one has some science behind it: which side is the migraine on? Lay down, put an as-hot-as-you-can-stand-it water bottle or heating pad on the sole of your foot on the other side. Keep it hot. The idea is that the heat will draw blood to that area and lessen the extra pressure . Takes about an hour or so. Another one - less weird: ask your dentist about a migraine nightguard. Very effective, most people see reduction in frequency and intensity.
@DrMaryWh usually on my right side. What side is yours on? My dentist recommended a night guard for clenching my teath. I was to chicken to try it though. Also what a day it’s been! Your information will be guarded with care.
@ianpatrick907 the night guard changed my life - try it! it has to be the one designed for migraine relief, the ones without the little projection to the front don't work for this. right side for me too, so hot pad on the left sole.
@ianpatrick907 I am glad it worked!!! Do you ever notice that you garble words some days? I found that was my first symptom of impending doom, almost a whole day before pain. So I started doing the heat thing once I recognized the speech thing and it helped even more. (mine are always on the right, so i just start with left foot)
