Always read the plaque
@rollovereasy I checked it out once on the terrain setting of Google Maps and damn it, the terrain matches the book description, albeit with buildings on it these days.
@rollovereasy “When a man's partner is killed he's supposed to do something about it. It doesn't make any difference what you thought of him. He was your partner and you're supposed to do something about it. Then it happens we were in the detective business. Well, when one of your organization gets killed it's bad business to let the killer get away with it. It's bad all around-bad for that one organization, bad for every detective everywhere.
Sam Spade”
@rollovereasy alt text: A plaque:
On approximately this spot
Miles Archer,
partner of Sam Spade,
was done in by
Brigid O'Shaughnessy.
Joice!
@rollovereasy When someone asked where the next generation of car-free streets should be, I suggested for D3 Grant from the dragon gate to Filbert. Can you imagine how great that walk would be as a pedestrian paradise? (I’m catching up on the podcast to ward off the jet lag)
