Photography can be expensive. But it doesn't have to be. Yesterday I picked up a used Nikon D200. I paid about 90 Euros for it. Yes, it's only 10 megapixels. But this picture will probably never be seen anywhere but online. And I could easily print it in A3.

This was shot with the high end Sigma 35 mm f/1,4 Art, but even that I bought for less than 300 Euros some months back.

@arnfinnp And it is one of the last CCD cameras Nikon (and basically anyone) ever produced. Compared to its CMOS predecessors, the patina of this sensor feels so much more painterly, with magnificent skin tone transitions, and a more analog film like bloom. I still own one myself. #nikonlove

@Bonka

I bought it for the CCD sensor. Always wanted to try one.

@arnfinnp Right. It's a low price for a well working CCD, considering a Hasselblad H4D will still set you back at least 30k + lenses.

…Not saying that is not an interesting investment as well! Have been considering these for quite a while. https://www.finn.no/bap/forsale/ad.html?finnkode=296455347

@Bonka
That is 45 times what i paid for the D200. If I had 45K to spend, I would use the elsewhere.
@arnfinnp 😅 I know! It's a bargain. Keep exploring and posting the D200 CCD magic. Perhaps I should pull my own out of storage as well.

@Bonka

I'm waiting for a 35 mm f/2D, that should be the perfect companion.

@arnfinnp Perfect lens. Sharp, light, and its a 52mm or something on the D200? Cant remember the crop correctly, but 50 is bliss.
