I have no idea if this is going to ship on time. I think it's likely to be good when it does.

I have (and like) a Decent Espresso machine, from way back in the day - it's one of the first ones they shipped. But it does require a certain nerdiness to use to the fullest.

Meticulous looks like they're taking a similar-but-different approach, and it's a lever-style machine - and I tend to use lever simulation profiles.

@dnanian This is quite interesting! I’ve also got (and love!) a Decent,machine. But you’re right - it’s super nerdy. And the software is painfully bad. And the badness of the software does actually detract from my joy of the machine and the process. It knocks the aesthetic out of whack.And so the cleanness of the UX in this video is intriguing.

@smeger Exactly. I don’t think Decent is ever going to nail the UX (even while they nail the ability to brew espresso). Whereas this looks like it might hit both targets.

No temperature changes during brew - and obviously shot-at-a-time - but it looks like they're on the right track.
