@jeber @rbreich The only way I see out of this travesty we call a democracy. The second they opened it up so people could pay politicians for their votes, democracy ended and we became an oligarchy.

@havvyhh2 I agree, though I expect SCOTUS would say the failure is with Congress or the People, for not constructing laws against it. In theory, at least, SCOTUS can only rule on the law as it is, not as it should be. Regardless, the problem is fixable through legislation or amendment, if the People can find the will to do so.
@wesdym You are correct....Congress can & should fix this....but unlikely by this Congress. Somehow it needs to get amplified as a serious issue
