Tennessee MAGA GOP have successfully banned drag shows, banned teaching about America's history racism in schools, and just last week advanced a bill to expand concealed carry from handguns to ALL firearms—calling it a "civil right."

Covenant School is a private Christian school.

I don't want to hear a word from MAGA extremists who claim mass shootings happen b/c "we've taken God out of school."

It's not God out of schools that's the problem—it's NRA & gun lobby money in your coffers that is.

@rosenstand @QasimRashid He's my rep, sadly. I was out in the area of that school right before the election in November. Lots of Ogles signs there. Not a single person will change their mind. Hell, he's almost as bad as Santos with his lies and nobody cares as long as he has the (R) after his name.

@QasimRashid if we didn't rely on thoughts and prayers to placate our shock at school shootings we might actually get somewhere toward reducing them. Remember "thoughts and prayers" and religion never did a damn thing to stop crazy people shooting. It's no coincidence that religious wars have caused countless millions of deaths "in the name of god". GOD DOES NOT PREVENT KILLING.

@QasimRashid the solution is adding better security to every school. In my town the sheriffs department has an officer at every front office, and they also have metal detectors at the one designated entry point to the schools. Over the top gun laws only make more illegal guns pour in to our country. I honestly don’t think the gun laws are broken, it’s the lack of security for our schools. There will always be bad people that want to hurt others unfortunately.
