Weird, first the q-anon shaman and now this asshole
Weird, wonder what Elon’s views are still

elon just strikes me as a sciencey racist guy. the kinda guy that's really into IQ and phrenology and would say "i'm not racist, i just dislike all the minorities that are bad and dirty and stupid because of their inferior genetics" type of guy. those guys love to be racist without thinking they're racist and they think they're too good to say n words and such.
probably uses antique racist terms nobody else uses anymore. like “octoroon”.
https://arstechnica.com/tech-policy/2023/03/inside-elon-musks-cost-cutting-drive-at-twitter/
"From a secretive “war room” at Twitter’s San Francisco headquarters last month, Elon Musk’s trusted lieutenants pored over a list of employees, showing how much they cost the social media company.
The billionaire owner’s “transition team,” headed by Steve Davis, who leads the Musk-owned Boring Company, then began to phone staffers. Some were asked to justify their role; others to recommend which colleagues to retain."
lol musk totally fired haraldur based on pay
Good thing you fired everyone that did understand the code, and have fun re-writing all the issues that were already there but with fun new bugs.
Actually, who am I kidding, the code's just gonna make the For You page explicitly just Elon and his replies.
"snailbrook" looks and sounds like a richard scarry re-imagining of a dickensian prison
What if the tent factory was just the place you lived?
the absolute paucity of vision on display here is just pathetic
imagine having effectively unlimited funds, the best drugs on earth, access to real estate, two artists and the world's richest man, no one to tell you no, and this is the shit you come up with.
like, at minimum, i would expect some fucking alejandro jodorowsky shit, burning man as a town, or something. instead we get some boring ass texas suburb with a concentration camp sign over the entrance
Every day this man loves using the stupid site he overpaid for by billions of dollars to show off his incredible lack of critical thinking. No reflection, just immediate acceptance of what gets tweeted at him.
If anything, it's illustrative as to how there can be people who think that real life 'NPCs' are a thing - they have no critical understanding of anything. They're as thick as pigshit and twice as repellent.
https://deadspin.com/how-americas-largest-local-tv-owner-turned-its-news-anc-1824233490
Earlier this month, CNN’s Brian Stelter broke the news that Sinclair Broadcast Group, owner or operator of nearly 200 television stations in the U.S., would be forcing its news anchors to record a promo about “the troubling trend of irresponsible, one sided news stories plaguing our country.” The script, which parrots…

Lol what? Just shut off his subsidies and tax credits and he'll be a bankrupt nobody in like a year lol
so hold on
people pay for a status symbol, which causes them to get bullied so hard they want to hide it.
why not just... not pay?
I can't wait to see how excited advertisers are about having their verified checkmarks taken away and needing to pay one thousand US dollars every month to get them back
I for one don't foresee any problems with trying to charge your hypothetical advertising clients $12k/year for a gif, under threat of not having any way to disambiguate them from imposters after you've nuked your support and trust & safety
1.3 million people signed up at $8/ month? oh wait, that’s over three months. so just under a half million people paying for it.
musk really overestimated his ability to make people pay him money for no reason. I means, that’s still an insane number of people paying $8 for literally nothing but it’s naught a drop in the bucket against how much it cost by scaring away advertising

lol he is such a bitter little boer
https://www.semafor.com/article/03/24/2023/the-secret-history-of-elon-musk-sam-altman-and-openai
"..Musk proposed a possible solution: He would take control of OpenAI and run it himself.
Altman and OpenAI’s other founders rejected Musk’s proposal. Musk, in turn, walked away from the company — and reneged on a massive planned donation. The fallout from that conflict, culminating in the announcement of Musk’s departure on Feb 20, 2018.
..An OpenAI announcement said Musk would continue to fund the organization, but Musk did not.."
he desperately wants to be seen as a pioneer pushing the field of AI forward
I'm sure he's extremely bitter that chatgpt is way more popular than his firetruck-hunters
congratulations to the twitter employees now holding the hottest ticket in town: twitter stock
whats the inverse of "start up" 🤔
What's funny to me is that Elon saw the respect that blue check people got and came to exactly the wrong conclusion.
He thought those people were well respected because they had a blue check mark. That the "cathedral" of Twitter had minted them into the cool kids.
In reality, the correlation between the blue check and their popularity was because they had already established themselves as an important resource worthy of respect.
The check was a result of their importance. It didn't make them important.
Elon thought that his new plaything of a company was a kingmaker, and that by giving everyone a blue check he could make everyone important. But if everyone is special then no one is special, and the cache of the check was instantly lost.
He's got the same brain problem as Trump where recognition is success unto itself, with no ability to comprehend why things were popular or appreciated in the first place
reminds of the TJ Miller Musk story:
https://www.newyorker.com/culture/culture-desk/how-silicon-valley-nails-silicon-valley
“Some Valley big shots have no idea how to react to the show,” Miller told me. “They can’t decide whether to be offended or flattered. And they’re mystified by the fact that actors have a kind of celebrity that they will never have—there’s no rhyme or reason to it, but that’s the way it is, and it kills them.”
Miller met Musk at the after-party in Redwood City.
It was, like, Sorry, dude, I know you’re a big deal — and, in his case, he actually is a big deal — but I’m the guy from ‘Yogi Bear 3-D,’ and apparently that’s who she wants a picture with.”
Yes TJ Miller is a sex predator and abuser, and that's just one more thing Elon is jealous of him for
Even Ian is dumping on Elon's changes to Twitter lol
