it's past 9pm, I have just over a week before we leave on vacation, and I just had a great idea for an outfit to make for it

(involving stretch velvet and fitted bottom)
(also I haven't unpacked my sewing machine since we moved almost a year ago)
(also I don't have a pattern for the top)

so about that #sewing project, lol. finally starting on the top (after spending all week being too tired or waffling about what to do) 🤞

assembled, just needs a neckband and hems! I'll have to switch machines (thank u serger for cooperating), so it's a good stopping point for the night.
the fabric is somewhat less shiny IRL but still a little bit Extra

I should mention, I used Simplicity 8513 as a base (obviously modified a bit)

@whrrgarbl I love this!! When I have the mental and physical space to get into it, I super want to get into sewing my own clothes.
