I've just bought some new electronic kitchen scales.

Is it a measure of how stupid people actually are, or how stupid companies think people are, that both the old and the new scales have a button to switch between measuring in grammes and measuring in ml? All that changes is the symbol g => mm ffs!

@AngharadHafod This will only hold true for water unless there's a setting. e.g. 500ml of Olive Oil will not equal 500g.

@gruff this is true. But the scales only take account of water.
