It's a long day, but the work isn't difficult. Plus, many employers count it as a free "volunteer day"! I've been a Tech Rep for my county for a couple of years (basically roving technical support) and it's a lot of fun, too.

And really, this applies anywhere that elections are being held, not just in Illinois but all over. County elections offices are all facing a shortage of volunteers. If you want to help your community while making a nice bit of cash on the side, this is a great way to do it!
