I’m not sure if it’s better to be a born agnostic or woke again atheist.
@buck -- I was born into a house that was agnostic and secular. Religion wasn't really mentioned at all.
I have to say that I am lucky I wasn't indoctrinated and don't bare those scars.

My mom was southern Methodist and dad northern Methodist. From early memory, they were completely different churches. And then, somehow, I landed at a Catholic grade school. Unfortunately, or more possibly fortunately, my family ended up less involved with church than most. Later in life, I attempted to go back to Catholic and was burned by a hyper-political church. So much for separation of church and state. Not ready to give it another try yet.
