Anthony Behan@nsaphra the number of people who 'work in AI' is vanishingly small. The vast, vast majority of Google employees don't work in AI. You're probably talking about a few hundred people. Then there are tens, hundreds of thousands in hardware, software, admin that support the AI business. They don't have a say, they're just paying the mortgage.
