Ways Brits finish a tea break:

1. “Anyway, better get back to it”
2. “No rest for the wicked”
3. “Right, I shall crack on”
4. “Back to the grind”
5. “Suppose I better do some work”
6. “Here we go again”
7. “This work won’t do itself”
8. “Onwards and upwards”

@verybritishproblems and you have to let out an "oof" as you get up
@verybritishproblems
Guilty on all counts except one!
(Coffee not tea.)
@verybritishproblems "Once more unto the breach, eh?"
@verybritishproblems Oh, I see someone beat me to that one!
@verybritishproblems My Dad’s favorite was “and back on your heads” which is a punchline to a joke.
@verybritishproblems
“Right, back on our heads” ... referencing an old joke about picking between two doors in hell.
@verybritishproblems
For anyone not familiar with the joke … a guy goes to hell & is greeted by a demon tasked with assigning sinners to their relevant punishments. The man is offered the choice of two doors. He looks through the window of one and sees the usual fire, torture and demons putting spikes up people’s bottoms and whatnot …. (cont’d)

@verybritishproblems

… He looks through the second and sees people just standing around drinking tea, waist deep in shit. He naturally chooses the latter. He is admitted to the room, and as he does so hears, “Right! Tea break’s over, back on yer ‘eads!”

@verybritishproblems "For fuck's sake" is also a viable response for when tea ends :D
