Fantastic to watch.

@punkrockscience "auguary" and "sepuary" sound like some sort of forms of magic you'd see in a fantasy novel or smth
@[email protected] @punkrockscience auguary is the system of magic founded by those original augurs. they drank the blood of the first mana tree and gained insight into the workings of the world, allowing them to manipulate magicules as they see fit. unfortunately, this came at the cost of their corporeal forms, which began rapidly decaying upon their imbibment of the blood. thus, this system of magic is widely known to be a "complete but lost" system, as only a limited amount of scholars are able to parse the writings left behind by the augurs.

sepuarians are trained from birth to see the world structure, and thus have a natural ability to cast spells. some rare sepuarians are kept as weapons by various kingdoms, for their ability to decipher and nullfy spells on sight in milliseconds. the sepuarians are an endangered tribe, as a holy war during 324: Rift Era saw their demise. for all their ability to wield magic, the tribe saw itself powerless against mechanical weapons of war.
@[email protected] @punkrockscience funnily enough, several rare texts contain instructions written by sepuarians on their method of child rearing and how to raise a sepuarian child. these texts are either destroyed, classified and protected, or are otherwise rendered unavailable to most commonfolk, as to raise a sepuarian is to bring to life a functional magical superweapon.

as much as historians would love to credit the near eradication of the sepuarians to mechanical weapons, it was as much a failure in the sepuarian tribe to secure their domain and plan for attacks. while excellent spellcasters, they were in the end human, and could not last against a prolonged war of attrition.
