@CuriousGed @UKLabour In the U.S., Rs & now the Progs use this technique to gain supporters who only look at allegiance not at actual contribution in the form of public works like bills passed etc. In political terms it’s called #negativePartisanship “Those people” (Dems for Republicans & so called “centrist dems” for Progs) are bad, we’re good, hate who I hate, we can be best buddies. You won’t notice your “Buddy” you helped get elected isn’t actually doing anything
