The British government just came out and outright said they don’t care about human rights, a petition was created in memory of #briannaghey to amend the law and allow trans people to be recognised as their gender in death if they hadn’t already received a GRC. Amend the Gender Recognition Act (2004) so that: - Family of a dead trans person with no GRC can apply for a GRC and reissued death certificate via statutory declaration - Where a trans individual has been diagnosed with a terminal illness, they can acquire a GRC via statutory declaration
