I'm asking as I'm still trying to learn the right and wrong and don't want to be ignorant..

He is queer, and he was trying to make a joke about himself being trans.
Most people, even people deep in the queer community, are largely ignorant about the struggles of trans people.
I honestly dont think he did wrong, and his apology was enough for me.
It wouldnt hurt him to be more aware of trans peoples struggle, and to use his platform for aid and education.
