Have you heard any blowback from maga politicians - I've seen guys try and then immediately pull in the horns - this is a BIG WIN

@plutus @johnserwach @rubecube12 I think the biggest win here is that Republicans dare not fuck with the "debt ceiling" right now. Biden should be publicly flogging this issue at the moment. He should be *burying* them. But he's not.
@plutus @johnserwach @rubecube12 The message should be: Look, your easing of bank regs in '18 setup a near catastrophe. We cannot afford to play Russian Roulette here. Raise the ceiling NOW.

@plutus @ForeignSubstance @rubecube12

That is probably not the best way to handle it as the media could spin it so many ways, plus it causes a loss of face. Best to do it privately.

Its on Congress to raise the debt ceiling. I'd republicans don't want to pass a clean bill and was cut spending into a recession. That's on them. I'd rather go into default and not pay their constituents who own all the bonds and stocks. We'll pay for Medicare instead. Or they can be grown ups and pass a clean budget bill and clean debt ceiling increase

@johnserwach @plutus @ForeignSubstance

The era of austerity is over. No budget cuts coming

@rubecube12 @plutus @ForeignSubstance they will@increase the debt ceiling- the pressure behind the scenes is growing.

I wonder if that loser is still planning on staying on “higher for longer” island 🙄

@johnserwach @plutus @rubecube12 I'd heard of this. I was "in stiches" of laughter. 😂

Quite possibly the exact opposite of the feeling I had!!
