@TomSchmidt @notjustbikes We're told here (Canada) that pedestrians deaths caused by automobiles are on the rise. They never mention the type of vehicle that caused mortality, but I bet the rise in SUVs and trucks is directly correlated.

The other day in a grocery store parking I walked in front of a parked pickup truck. Its hood was higher than my shoulder FFS.

Oh, and the cargo area was closed off. I bet it's never used.
