bird.makeup is strange to me. Is that better than using postybirb? As it stands, the crossposts created by that instance don't come with alt-text so I'm never inclined to boost them.

I did end up following a few accounts on that instance because artists I like were appearing here through it, but now I'm having second thoughts. What's the point if it is explicitly a place to host reposts that will not be checked in on? If the accounts will not take advantage of mastodon tools like the CW? Might flip direction completely and block the instance so I don't have to see this type of post.

@Koch Posty Birb is as I understand it, primarily a gallery crossposter where bird.makeup is just another Twitter to Mastodon crossposter
@taurnation Yes, since I am referring to artists I follow using it to post art on masto, all the functionality of birb.makeup seems to add is I also get to see their stray tweets that they presumably will not be interacting with the response to here. Seems like a negative proposition to me.
