haqI read Limericks by Michael Palin, illustrated by Tony Ross. Originally marketed as a children's book, it includes all the violence and surreality and subversion of traditional nursery rhymes. One of the milder efforts:
There once was a fellow called God,
Whom everyone thought rather odd.
Apart from a lady
Called Eileen O'Grady,
Who worshipped the ground that he trod.
