Right now #trans people all over the world are doing the terrible algebra of survival.

If i sell everything i own, how far away will the money get me?

If i pack up and crashed with my friend in [sanctuary state] how long would it take to get a job and save enough to move off their couch?

They go to bed at 10. If i pack ahead of time i know i can get to the bus stop at a run to make the last bus at 10:30. I might get to the womens shelter before they fill up. Just dont say much and they wont know.

If 3 more state senators get behind this bill i have 2 months of hrt stockpiled. Ill need to move house while that supply lasts or ill be too dysphoric to hold a job again. 3 months if i cut my dose down.

Most poeple on the left dont even know anything about this, 2024 is an election year and the fascists already control 48% of the country's levers of power. Violent rhetoric will ramp up over the next 16 months, probably peaking over the summer and then again around the election

@Subrote I got in an argument about this today.

Person basically said it was a problem, but there are bigger issues impacting our world.

It's apparently a problem, but not a "collective" problem. Even after I explained that unilaterally taking away someone's right

Even if for someone that is trans, it means as you said, total upheaval of lives, risks of being a literal felon just for wearing the wrong clothes or going in the "wrong" bathroom.

Then I got blocked and accused of gaslighting

@Subrote @kroyio yeah it baffles me how these people are unable to see that what is happening to us (and it acceptance) is a major step in a problem that will affect everyone. Removal of rights is a pretty big symptom.
