Playing Five Parsecs From Home. A solo adventure wargame. You run a campaign in which your crew fights different encounters, with a ton of random world building events. This was my 3rd encounter and I got absolutely destroyed, luckily no crew member lost!

Finally, got the book! It took like two weeks from the UK to Germany 🙄 But I have been playing 11 campaign turns with the PDF so far, and it is good!
23rd encounter and with it I declare this first Five Parsecs campaign done. It was fun to run the game, although at some point it became too easy. My plan is to try a new campaign starting from scratch but with rules from the expansions, specially the "dramatic combat" and the gradual difficulty increase.
My biggest critique to the system is that things like travel, invasions and rivals never became a problem, which are interesting mechanics that are unlikely to trigger. I hope that the expansions fix this!

My favorite part was the mix of managing and combat, and the random encounter generation.

Since it is a solo-first game, the gameplay is 100% focused on that, and not just a patch over a multiplayer system.

If you are looking for a fun solo wargame to put a nice scenario, take your favorite minis out and roll some dice, there's probably not a better alternative out there than Five Parsecs from Home.
