I found out purely by accident yesterday that I know the entire movie “So I Married an Axe Murderer” by heart, even though I don’t think I’ve seen it since 1997.
My husband was impressed at first, but after 45 minutes, I suspect he wanted to axe-murder me.
@ChamomileHangover The only scene I remember is "Head! Move!"
@LikeItOrLumpIt it doesn’t hold up amazingly well, but it’s definitely worth a rewatch if you haven’t seen it in a while.
@ChamomileHangover I really like Mike Myers. Always have.
@LikeItOrLumpIt I found out recently that he was almost a Kid in the Hall, but they picked Scott Thompson instead.
@ChamomileHangover No kidding? Maybe it's a good thing he didn't get it. It would have changed his trajectory to SNL. I am almost certain Waynes World the movie kept me from spiraling into a depression when it came out. So thx Mike Myers and Dana Carvey!

@ChamomileHangover I couldn't see it. Maybe because i don't have a twitter acct.
@LikeItOrLumpIt I don’t have a twitter account either. Ahh well.
It’s a clip from 2022 of Dave Foley, Paul Myers and Mike Myers doing a panel. Dave tells Mike that he and Kevin were pushing for him, and Mark was pushing for Scott when they were forming KITH. Mike’s reaction is “oh that’s a good thing to find out in front of a bunch of people!”
In the early days, when they were still just doing comedy clubs, Mike Myers was basically an interchangeable part of the ensemble.
@ChamomileHangover I went to Second City in Toronto in the late 80s I think. I often wonder if I saw someone who became famous. I wish I could remember who was in the ensemble. It was very funny and that's all I can remember! So many funny people came from there.
