As you are posting a picture of your beloved, click to edit the image before you post.

You will see a circle that you can move around the picture to select a focal point. Not sure if it works on all apps but it definitely works on a Mac browswer.

Move the circle to the focal point of your image.

In this image I moved the circle to slightly above my cat's heads.

Voila! No more cat butts in the cropped preview.
