i am not actually calling for this but for the sake of argument if someone made deepfake pr0n of every member of congress we'd probably see that shit outlawed pretty quick

why am i even hiding behind this "im not calling for it" shit when its not even illegal lmao

well f0r Th3 sAkE 0f ArguMEnt what software is typically used lmao if someone were hyp0th3ticaLly going to do this is vanilla ass deepfacelab the way to go?

this is the part that makes me so upset. you DO NOT need to be in the public eye. it can happen to ANYONE (if youre female). and "anyone" does not have the resources to get through that, "anyone" can lose work, friendships, be placed at physical risk, basically have their whole life fucked up because some subhuman decided to pay some other subhuman $20 to make that happen

until the law steps in we need to at least have actual organizing to put pressure on apple/google to fucking ban this what the fuck?

i was pretty fucking doompilled before and im still surprised at just how brazen this is and just how complicit big tech is

the only other avenue i can think of is the scorched earth one where anyone defending this and anyone in a position to stop it who doesnt gets deepfaked to make a point.

@Roulette It's really sad what a cesspool mobile app stores are in general.

It's not just this, it's also gambling apps for children all the way down.

Maybe the CEOs of some of the bigger disgusting app developer companies will show their faces online?

But you are right, long-term, we're just going to need legislation to make apple and google apply a common decency principle to their app store reviewing practices.

@d0d0 naw on the legislative side we need to make this illegal in the first place. on the organization side we need to put extreme pressure on big tech to deplatform it
