Fellow #facilitators, I need your advice: looking for a nice physical #thread/#ribbon/#cord that

- is available at arbitrary length, at least 3-4m (e.g., on a reel)

- stays flat on a table (doesn't warp or wobble upon every touch, moving or knocking over the objects it is meant to separate)

- is elastic (no permanent sharp bends remaining after usage)

- is reusable (isn't sticky, catching dust and lint; looks as new after cleaning with a wet cloth and a disinfectant)

Suggestions?

@PragmTeams Not sure, how well it fits, but I was thinking of the wide fabric ribbons for fancy gift wrapping. You'd just need to regular trim the cut ends, because they tend to fray.

What would you like to use it for? If you forgo the "reusable" part, washi tape might at a touch of whimsy and beauty

@CorinnaBaldauf To separate "regions" of objects spread out on a table, while discussing (was reminded today of this when reading a post about #Estuarine mapping, they used phone charging cables).

#Fabric ribbons have a life of their own, warping because of their inner tension, so they don't work for me.

#Washi tape stays in place, of course, but it isn't reusable and it takes time to "shift" a line around on a table. They're fine for documenting a final result hanging from a wall, though.
