I really don't know about living in America. I really hated it as a child and I feel I have roots here.
On the other hand, I would have a much nicer house and a lot more money and possibly a pickup.

@Shiv5468 I think it was when I saw the kind of house I could have over there vs over here, and the money would be over double what I earn here.
But you’re right. The coffee is appalling too. It would also be a bit of a remote town where I would be based. I would miss being able to dash into London whenever I felt like it.
@Shiv5468 It is, but if you were given the choice of working in some provincial outpost with little chance of promotion vs head office and moving up the ladder, what would you choose?
And I’m tied in to the company until 2026 due to MBA fees, so I can’t move companies.
@jonconnorton you can move in 2026 though. How does that compare to your timeline for a proposed move to the US?
And a new firm@might pay off your fees. I see a fair bit of that.
@Shiv5468 Fees aren’t massive - 15k or so, which drops by 5K a year, so would be reasonable if money right. But I quite like my company. They treat employees right, and whilst management can be ruthless, I’m good at surviving.
I dunno. Not doing anything until other stuff going on is resolved. But I don’t think there’s much to tie me to the UK other than Janna (who would obviously come with).
@Shiv5468 Well, I do have the travelling in my blood too. I have finally put down roots in current location, but I think my roots involve my life with Janna (and Bluebell), so the location is less important. But I realise my slightly skanky small terrace house in a garrison town costs a ton more than this.

@jonconnorton very nice.
Well you can’t go until we’ve had lunch. And you’ll have to pick somewhere kpop bands tour so we can catch up
