I have an insurance questionnaire asking if I have a deployed EPP.

I honestly have no idea.

Is Defender for Endpoint, Defender for Identity, or the rest of A5 Security considered an EPP?

@el_jasoon DfE is absolutely an endpoint protection platform. It doesn’t even need to be an EDR to be an EPP.
@crh interesting. So is EDR generally considered to be a superset of EPP?

@el_jasoon Yes I’d say so. EPP is pretty broad - anything that provides traditional anti-virus/malware would be covered by it. I think it’s really just the new term for “AV”.

I’ve only seen EPP used on insurance questionnaires, but it exists in marketing.

@crh yep I had never seen the term before. I just assumed I was behind the times again.
