Hannes was one of the most important figures on the Fediverse because he just about was the only thing keeping the lights on until Mastodon showed up by making a frontend that made gnu social closer to Twitter than whatever the hell gnu social normally looks like. I don't think he's even on here anymore, he was having some trouble. God bless him.
