I have not slept properly or eaten a full complement of meals in over a week. I am now, predictably, outside of my mind.

@coelliptic sleep (as much as possible) is the big thing. Have you tried something like melatonin, or preferably talked to a doc?

This isn't the first time, and maybe getting in with a psychiatrist is in order (if you haven't). They may have options that don't include Ambien.

@olavf I take melatonin regularly (and morning light therapy) to help manage a circadian phase offset. Throw in a history of depression and anxiety, and it's a real treat when the sleep gets away from me.
@olavf But yes, I am well attended to, medically. It just doesn't always quite do the trick, especially during high-stress weeks.
@olavf Sleep is so important. It's really quite astonishing how noticeable the effects on my mood and mental acuity are when it's messed up!

@coelliptic I grok that. My night regimen includes 500mg Seroquel and now it's nearly 00:30 and here I am. But it could be worse; me and antidepressants don't mix.

But yeah, sleep is key. My therapist keeps scolding me about that and I haven't figured out a solution either. Other than prn extra Seroquel sometimes works. What I need is an actual hammer

@olavf an actual hammer would be fantastic!
