@DrYohanJohn I would like to contact Dr. Bender and ask her to befriend me. (But short of that, thanks for sharing the interview.)

The fundamental problem is a broad, slow cultural shift from amused tolerance to proud (rather than embarrassed) assumption of credulity and the "valorization of fooling people".

It has knock-on effects for all lovers of truth and meaning, in all disciplines of knowledge. We're the Stinking Old Ninth. Beware.
