Packardgoose@evilchili I’m interested if the valves smooth out some of the temporal compression artifacts (“shushing” in high hats) that I find so objectionable. I’m also curious how the bitrate of the input can impact the resulting output when run through the DAC.
@packardgoose it's not something i tend to notice but if you have an example recording I'd be delighted to A/B it. Any excuse.
