SUVs really just need to be phased out. I reckon that perhaps 1% of the people who own one have anything that even remotely resembles a justifiable use-case for having one. Small is beautiful, especially when it comes to cars! (and non-existent is better than small)

Carbon emissions from global SUV fleet outweighs that of most countries

Popularity of sport utility vehicles driving higher oil demand and climate crisis, say experts

@helenczerski I'm a paradox. I have a truck for the big family and towing. But our entire family shares that one car and we don't even drive much.

We pretty much walk and bike everywhere.

So im the problem and the solution?

It's funny that people are responding to a statistical problem with their own story. Your own story says little-to-nothing about the statistics, and the effects of SUV on Climate.

@tomgrzybow @helenczerski the original posts says "SUVs need to be phased out". Thats an extreme and unnuanced response to a complex issue.

I understand statistically there is too much emissions. But "get rid of all SUVs" is an absolute statement. So people like me feel the need to show absolutes aren't the answer
