so a friend and i have been trying to make a vr game, him doing the art and me doing the code, and i think i'm finally getting somewhere with this movement system we're trying to nail.
@shocktail39 I helped an old friend turn a 3D environment into a walkable area in VR. Movement still to the day haunts me.
@EricMalves please tell me i'm not alone on this one: when making the player rotate, did you seem to "teleport" small distances after each rotation, and after several hours you realized that you were actually rotating the whole "playspace," not just the player inside it, and you were standing near the edge of the playspace since that's where your keyboard is?

@shocktail39 We cheated slightly, no player rotation aside from physically rotating. We used a point to teleport movement.

Neither one of us had a clue what were were doing and somehow we ended up building a piece of software used in a museum exhibit

@EricMalves whoa, what? what kind of museum exhibit?

@shocktail39 It was a small museum in Germany. It was a walk-through of an old structure that no longer exists.

I only ported the model to Unity and added VR support. The model was done by my friend, and he handled all the communication.
