@joannarifkin wanted to give an insider perspective on this - 100% correct. never apologize for checking out so many books, asking lots of questions at reference, requesting interlibrary loans/purchases, needing help using our eResources or stopping by in the last few minutes, we count all those things, include them in monthly/annual reports, and most of the time* we enjoy helping.
*everybody has that one patron that bugs them but it probably isn't you
