Esther Crawford, who proudly slept in the Twitter office to meet some arbitrary deadline Elon made up, has apparently been fired. I hope that some day people will understand that killing yourself for your employer is pointless.
@EboMike Agreed. Having a good work/life balance is a must. Nobody should be sleeping in their office and/or at work. It's ridiculous!

@compuguy @EboMike
I always give it a 100%, I don't do it for the employer but rather for myself, I take pride in my work

I pulled 20+ hours many times when there were important deadlines, not a single time have I ever needed to sleep at the office, it's counter productive. You are much better off going home to sleep, rest and see your family

Pulling the sleeping bag is a stunt to show the boss that you care, not to get things done. I have no respect for someone who does that.

@Samir @compuguy @EboMike How much of your family did you see when you were pulling those 20+ hour days? How much rest did you get? How much sleep?

If you mean 20+ hour weeks, then kudos to you for your work/life balance.

@daedalus @compuguy @EboMike
20+ hours per day, not per week
My family sees me just enough, I take time off after working extra hard
And again, I take pride of my work and give it all it takes, I understand that people have different way of how they view work (a paycheque), but that's a personal choice and priorities
I really enjoy what I do
@Samir @compuguy @EboMike So you see the disconnect between what you're trying to say and what you say then? You're trying to say you're much better off going home to rest and see your family, yet proud of crunching for 20 hours a day, presumably spending some of the remaining 4 hours travelling home, spending time with your family and sleeping...
@daedalus
Ahhh you do realize that not everyone have to work for money, right?
Esther cashed millions and never have to work for the rest of her life and can spend time with her family while you put in your 40 hours per week and pretend to be happy that you have a good "life balance"
It's all about priorities, some thought it's better to party in their 20s, while others thought working hard means they never have to work in their 30s and 40s.
I don't judge your choices, so don't judge mine

@Samir I'm not judging your choices, just pointing out how silly your post looks in the context of the original. It's almost like it's not about the original post at all, but a lame attempt at a humble brag that falls flat on its face.

But you do you.

@daedalus
I always say there is no difference between Twitter and Mastodon troll, and it just gets proven every single day

Go find something better to do with your time than attacking people
