@cstross I'm not really a big fan of his, but I wonder. How many mistakes would I have to make to get treated like him. I'm not racist, that I know of, but I'm also not nice.

If I make mistakes, will I also be thrown out of the community like him with no hope of redemption?

I know that there is a line beyond which you should cut people off. But where is that line and how can you as a person uncross it? I'm not a good guy, but I try. Is that enough?

@Madagascar_Sky @cstross It’s not really that hard to avoid being pro-racial segregation, or to avoid calling Black people a hate group.

But if you’re genuinely worried and not trolling, try reading Robin DiAngelo’s “White Fragility” and Ibram X Kendi’s “How to Be an Anti Racist.”

@Madagascar_Sky @cstross In Scott's case this isn't "a mistake", this is deliberately getting worse and worse, over time, and then doubling down after being called out on it.

@zorinlynx @Madagascar_Sky Yep. Adams has been driving down this road for 20 years: this isn't his first offense, he's been cut a LOT of slack … it's just the straw that broke the camel's back.
