Esther Crawford, who proudly slept in the Twitter office to meet some arbitrary deadline Elon made up, has apparently been fired. I hope that some day people will understand that killing yourself for your employer is pointless.
@EboMike
Loyalty is a (mostly) bygone myth. I suppose there were some companies/businesses that felt some bit of respect and responsibility for their workers, but I can't see that existing any more. The Elon Musks of this world will always take all they can get from workers and then dump them as soon as it's convenient. That's one of the reasons that I'm pro-union.
From my experience, reward for* loyalty is thrown out of the door when the employee strength crosses 200. Up to that point, it’s a ‘family’ affair. ‘Growth’ is inversely proportional to ‘Reward for loyalty’, I guess.

@Deus @EboMike @anabana My dear wife will have been at her job for 40 years later this year, and there are many there who have been around longer.

There are no absolutes.
