I belong to a support group for other parents of #trans kids. One of the parents just posted the obituary for their 16 year old on our group page.
This isn’t a game. It’s not idle or trendy. And it’s not up for debate. WE ARE FIGHTING FOR OUR CHILDREN’S LIVES. And we are fighting against an unending tidal wave of discrimination, misinformation, apathy, and bad faith punditry.
There will never enough cases studies, science or board approved guidelines to make the NECESSARY treatment palatable for these “concerned citizens.” Because we already HAVE ALL OF THAT and they don’t care!
And they don’t care because it has never been about being concerned for the safety of these children. They want these children not to EXIST.

I used to keep a copy of every study in neurology, developmental biology, endocrinology & psych, just in case. Little did we know that they'd simply ignore that many decades of incredibly solid, accepted, cross-supportive science. It's pure bigotry and greed and I don't know how to fight that?
