Told the children I'd take them to the Americarna festival today only to find out...

@StephM Yah. I am often pleased to find my family are pretty much as much homebodies as I am.

I still feel bad for not taking them to more things. But it's been especially hard to find the energy to do so these past few years.

@soulhaven omg agree! My kid has to do journaling at school and she's been making up adventures with an invented uncle Dan and his dog Moustache because we hang at home and do boring home stuff 😔
Uncle Dan sounds super fun tho 😂

@StephM Ha ha. I should encourage my 7yo to do the same. he was meant to write about what he got up to over the summer holidays when school started back up... It's not like we did nothing. But his dad worked through the holidays, so we were mostly just around home.

That being said we are super lucky to live on a lifestyle block, and my kids still spend almost all their time in front of screens...
