★ Amy Star ★@gendernomad re: the article, it's all well and good to think telemetry is necessary if you exist in a vacuum, but when literally every single piece of hardware and software wants to send unknown "telemetry" to some unknown server god knows where for god knows what purpose, while also serving ads, it becomes impossible to feel like it isn't just glorified spyware divining your every keystroke, and that it couldn't be aggregated and synthesized into revealing every action you take on a computer
