@cstross Completely agree with you. When I heard about how they were training the models, and the data sets being used, my first thought was, GIGO. And even then, they're just mixing and regurgitating - a more advanced Eliza. They've been talking about AIs replacing people since I graduated from college - and that was back in 1987! I've seen advances, but nowhere near a true AI yet.
