Went to a park today and got a few observations, including a purple gallinule eating a snail, and another sighting of the local snapping turtle.

Also captured the following landscape picture across a pond in a suburban park. It wasn't that dark, but I turned down my camera's brightness setting so as to capture the shape of the setting sun.

Oh no, I just realized I hadn't captioned the picture I uploaded. Oops.

It's a setting sun, which can be seen through a tree that doesn't have many leaves on it, on the horizon. There are other trees nearby, sparsely placed. The trees, the ground directly in front of the camera, and the line of trees in the far background beneath the horizon are all dark. Between the far background and the near background is a band of reflective water. The sky above this whole scene is mostly cloudless.
